Refinishing a front door

This door is dated and in need of some work. The oak door had weather damage and needed a fresh new look.
When dealing with something like this the best thing to do is stain the wood in a dark colour.
Oak has a very prominent grain that is beautiful but when it has many imperfections the repair can be challenging!
The door was stripped down to the bear wood and all the imperfections filled with a wood fill.
A dark brown/black finish was applied in a stain.
This dark rich colour blends all of the wood fill and the damaged parts that simply cannot be fully repaired but now is hidden with this rich stain.
A Marine finish was given over top to protect the wood as it is a strong finish for exterior doors.
The end result is gorgeous and gives the entrance a new updated look

By making a few small changes this kitchen is transformed
Painting is a must: the table and chairs were painted a brown/black and chairs were re-upholstered and simple accessories to complete
The drapery was removed and trim work painted white with fresh white wood blinds
Really cleans the look up
The room was also repainted in a fresh color
The clutter was removed from the counter and simple accessories in small grouping makes for a much nicer look.
